Current exhibition

A special exhibition celebrating the 30th anniversary of the opening of Walsall Local History Centre opened on Wednesday 23 November 2016, until further notice. Entitled Walsall Local History Centre 30, it reflects the history of the Centre, its work and specially selected archives chosen for display by staff.

New Jack Haddock Photo Book On Sale

A new book packed with historic and nostalgic Walsall rail, bus, canal and townscape photographs from the 1950s onwards has been published by the Centre. The pictures are by the late Walsall local historian and photographer Jack Haddock, and the book has been edited and designed by Stuart Williams. Entitled The Two-wheeled Time Traveller and costing £8 plus p&p, the book is the ideal gift and is on sale here now.
