Registration of planning applications
Due to the high volume of general inquiries and numbers of applications recently submitted, there is currently a delay in validating and processing applications. We are seeking to address this situation as quickly as possible and recognise this as a priority for the department.
Applications will be made valid and the start date will be from the date all the necessary information has been received by the Council to make the application valid. Therefore it is important that you refer to the Black Country Validation Checklist on the following webpage before you submit your planning application. Walsall Council is currently reviewing its Customer Charter. During this process the Council remains committed to delivering the best service possible for the public, developers and those affected by the development process. The Council is seeking to bring forward an updated Charter during the summer of 2016 after the local elections in May.
