Gambling Act 2005


The Gambling Act 2005 gives a comprehensive structure to the law on gambling and gives responsibility for the licensing of gambling premises to Local Authorities. The Local authority is also responsible for issuing permits for gaming machines and small society lotteries.

Under the terms of the Act, Walsall Council is required to publish a statement of principles.
