Adult placement scheme
Walsall Shared Lives Adult Placement Scheme
Shared Lives is a service provided by individuals and families, shared lives carers in local communities. Shared lives carers are recruited on the basis that they can offer accommodation and support in their own homes to an adult with a learning disability. The aim is to offer short breaks on a flexible basis to meet individual needs, day time support, overnights or long term accommodation and support. Placements are part of an organised shared lives adult placement scheme that approve, support and monitor and train the shared lives carers, receive referrals, match the needs of service user and review the placements.
The scheme is registered with Care Quality Commission.
